Head of Business Development & Recruitment

Position: Head of Business Development & Recruitment Reports To: Managing Director (MD) Supervises: Recruitment Officers, Business Development Officers (if applicable) Primary Objective: To drive business growth by securing new clients while ensuring the effective recruitment and deployment of security operatives to meet client demands.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years Experience in security Supervision & Operations.
  • Security Training and Certification.
  • Proven Experience in Security Operation.
  • Forensic Analysis Expertise.
  • Security Intelligence knowledge.
  • IT compliance understanding.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Business Development & Client Acquisition
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in corporate organisations,government agencies, and private sectors.
    • Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote security services.
    • Conduct market research to assess security industry trends and competitor services.
    • Build and maintain strong client relationships to enhance customer retention and referrals.
    • Prepare and present proposals, bids, and service agreements to potential clients.
    • Negotiate contracts to secure profitable and long-term service engagements.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices in client engagements.
    • Collaborate with the Operations Unit to ensure smooth service delivery after securing contracts.
  2. Recruitment & Human Resource Management
    • Oversee the entire recruitment process of security operatives, from advertising vacancies to final selection.
    • Conduct background checks, screening, and interviews with prospective security personnel.
    • Ensure that all recruits meet the necessary licensing and certification requirements.
    • Work with the Training Department to organise orientation and refresher courses for security personnel.
    • Maintain a database of trained and vetted security operatives for quick deployment.
    • Supervise employee welfare, discipline, and conflict resolution with the HR team.
    • Ensure timely and appropriate deployment of security personnel to client locations.
    • Ensure seamless communication between business development, recruitment, and operations.
    • Collaborate with the Operations & Field Supervision Team to evaluate guard performance at client locations.
    • Address client concerns regarding security personnel and implement corrective actions when necessary.
    • Regularly assess workforce efficiency and recommend strategies for operational improvement.
  3. Reporting & Compliance
    • Provide monthly performance reports on business development and recruitment activities to the MD.
    • Maintain records of recruitment, client acquisition, and contract renewals.
    • Ensure compliance with labour laws, security industry regulations, and licensing requirements.
    • Implement best practices in recruitment and business development to align with global standards.
